  • OK...Just trying to keep my searches in one area. I actually saw your post on MIUI-DEV. Posted the link to a user on Moviestar XDA thread requesting a Data2EXT version from him. Saw your post on MIUI-DEV to let him know about coming here. This is the reason why having this ON XDA would have been easier. I had to go to another site from XDA to come to this site along with referencing this site from yet another source (Moviestar on XDA) IOW....gets confusing trying to remember who posted a question about finding a version. Anyways, going to Nandroid my current vanilla based MIUI-DEV 1.56 and install this. Will try various methods of installing since I am basically using same base version. I usually just clean install, but will try an upgrade first just to see what happens.

  • Agreed. Getting a message about UI mismatches. Wipe Data partition or I'm feeling Lucky to allow me to get past this. Lots of FC's. Tried numerous times and same issues. Not sure this is going to work for me, short of a total card format. I will probably hold off and try Moviestars D2W 7 version just to see. Plus I use a signed format utility that also formats the system partition, besides boot, data, and cache. I still go back and use amon 2.2.1 to wipe with all options so I know my installs are really clean. And yes, I know about rebooting and stability gets better with time. Been at this a long time. Something about this version. OH, during the install, the flash screen states it's instaling 1.4.29 instead of 1.5.6. But about phone does say 1.5.6

  • Have you seen that error message about UI mismatches and stating a data partition wipe is required. But right below that is a message box that states, "I'm feeling Lucky". Tried twice and get this each time.

  • I Hate when I see that works on mine reply :wako:
I will go the distance and copy my SD card to PC. Reformat the card with New EXT setup. Back later. I ONLY do this when I feel it has to be my problem, but been doing this for a while as I'm sure you may know my name from past XDA posts. Plus Moviestar's setup while it is working is to unstable for me. Too much media FC's. Especially with camera app.

  • OK...reformatted the card. Put back a 128Mb swap, 1028MB EXT4 instead of 3. Did NOT get that UI mismatch error. Even initial boot which had German kamera instead of English camera was stable. Setup wifi, Google, answered a few waiting text messages that were waiting, just rebooted which was extremely fast on the reboot. Getting an insert SD card message when starting camera app. Going to reboot and see what that's about and copy over my old DCIM folder as well as my Music folder. Will get back on this, but I'm sure this is minor. BIG difference since reformatting the whole card. Pretty sure this is a go. Back soon.
Edit: No problems after copying my DCIM folder back and Music as well as MIUI folder which has all my older themes etc. All is well for now. Back to reinstalling apps etc.

I realize this is MIUI-Germany..but what's the easiest way to translate posts here that are in German. I know there are probably 100's of methods. I am asking for probably the easiest to quickly see translations.

  • in most cases Google translator should work... its not possible for me to give all answers in two different languages...
If someone asking me something in english. i will answer in english.. soo.. thats all what i can do here..

    btw. Doc... u should learn a new language...why not german ? :D :D

Time to dust off an old copy of Rosetta Stone. Have to find the Chrome plugin for Google Translator on my desktop. BTW, twice now, just on a reboot, The ROM goes totally into an unstable state with that UI mismatch message, and nothing but FC's rendering the ROM unuseable. Not sure what is causing this, but for now, can't see how to continue using this current version. My only way to fix is a reinstall. When I tried a wipe of both caches, it would basically still give me the UI mismatch error. Even a nandroid restore of a good working backup, and I had that same error. Unless you know what's going on, guess I will have to wait a while on this one.
